In “Le ossa dentro la cenere” we see how a camera travels through an undefined space, apparently a factory or a submerged ship. The underwater camera manages to see fragments illuminated by a light that moves accidentally in the search and recognition of the site.
Before these recordings, these images remained hidden in the darkness for years. The exploration of these industrial spaces gave rise to this footage that speaks not about that specific location –which is not revealed– but represent a state of matter that is applicable to every possible construction of reality.
Is it perhaps the fate of all images to lose their original meaning and to be charged with other meanings when time has already done its work on them?. The images of these submerged industrial skeletons, generate a visual experience of an unknown, timeless space that reappears with a new meaning from oblivion. They do not tell a particular story, but create the experience of an exploration through time.
