The phrase in this work was extracted from the texts that compose the video “Parasite Paradise”, 2020. These wooden objects have been produced as elements that accompany the video work, bringing to the physical exhibition space elements that we see on the screen.

In the case of “Carved Subtitles (Image corpses)”, a piece of wood is carved by hand and then an animation is projected by means of mapping, exactly over the text in relief. The work in this way brings together within its simplicity, a complex relationship that puts in tension techniques and temporalities that at first sight seem to be distant.
