Archipelago Archive exhibits all the video material documented in the Arctic Circle during the April 2022 expedition in the context of the Arctic Circle Residency. The work invites viewers to engage with the accumulation, visual consumption and exhaustion of this type of footage.

 

The main idea of the work revolves around embodying the volume of material in objectual terms. In other words, it explores the process of transforming the volume of digital material into a sculptural form.

 

Furthermore, the artwork highlights the paradox that the display of such images requires energy consumption, a factor that has played a role in the crisis affecting the depicted location.
